He is one of the most exciting forwards in Europe but the statistic that emerged from Darwin Núñez latest shot hitting the crossbar in Liverpool’s clash with Luton really catches the eye: the Uruguayan's four such occasions topping 50% of Premier League teams so far!

We know from last year that Darwin Núñez hasn't always had luck on his side so far. He's the player who will be in the mix for Liverpool, who will threaten often, he'll be the player who won't be afraid to take finishing efforts, but on a number of occasions, the ball won't do him any favours.
And a few days after his stunning goal against Bournemouth in the League Cup, history repeated itself. The Uruguayan made an excellent start to the Week 11 clash against Luton, attempting four final attempts, two of which found the target and one of which stopped at the crossbar.
With that shot he reached four efforts that were stopped on the crossbar in the Premier League this season, at least two more than any other player in the league.
The even more impressive part of the case? Núñez counts more efforts that ended that way than 10 of the 20 teams in the Premier League. He's alone in the list and overcoming… 10 different clubs. Unbelievable!
