Manchester United will want to forget the final month of 2023 and will be eager for change. The calendar year closed with another setback, the 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest, so the Red Devils probably will already be preparing their new year resolutions...

Erik Ten Hag's team only managed to make their fans believe that something good could happen, two times during December 2023.
Manchester United had only two big exceptional moments and out of the 8 games during this month, they managed to win only two very important matches.
At the beginning of December the team started with a defeat (1-0) in Newcastle. Man United managed to show passion, stubbornness and desire to turn the situation around, when they won 2-1 at the great battle with Chelsea. It was the image of the players at Old Trafford that offered that hope. However, it dissipated very quickly.
Then came the exit from Europe with the 1-0 defeat by Bayern Munich in Manchester, a hat-trick from Solanke's Bournemouth, a hard-fought goalless draw at Anfield, a hand-over-heels defeat by West Ham in London.
And suddenly... new flare! From Villa's 2-0 at the "Theatre of Dreams", a big turnaround in the second half and a 3-2 victory! Again the stadium reminded... old, good times of the club. Many may have believed that maybe this Christmas miracle would change the course of the season, but... it was slapped again.
Red Devils were beaten by Nottingham Forest 2-1 at the City Ground in their last match of 2023 and again reflection and introspection for United who, in this period of the last month of 2023, have scored just 6 goals and conceded twice as many (12)...
