Southgate's persistence with Arnold in midfield didn't pay off once again...
In the 53rd minute, Alexander-Arnold's presence in England's match against Denmark ended, since Gareth Southgate did not see what he wanted and preferred to put the fresh legs of Gallagher in the center, in order to help by pressing harder.

After one more bad game at the group phase of Euro 2024, TAA, like the rest of the English players of course, received severe criticism from fans and the press. Arnold had been lined up alongside Declan Rice, but the overall lackluster performance of the "Three Lions" did not help him.
Southgate chose to start against Denmark with the same XI as against Serbia. Again he made the first change with Alexander - Arnold leaving the pitch for Connor Gallagher to get in.
On Sunday it was in the 69th minute, on Thursday afternoon it was in the 53rd minute. Much earlier. Gallagher got the call to offer something more in his place. But still, England got only one point with the 1-1 result, that sparked once again, criticism and difficult thoughts.
And now the question is this: Will Alexander - Arnold be included in the starting lineup again in the final group game against Slovenia?
