Is that what Van Djik is talking about? The video showing what Saka did, before Kane’s penalty! (vid)

What is Netherland’s main complaint about the refereeing in the game against England? It's about the penalty for England in the first half of the semi-final, but about what happened just seconds before that! It lays on Bukayo Saka's effort after his counter-attacking shot. There is a video that shows how the ball hit his hand, as a result of which Virgil Van Djik and everyone complained!

A huge qualification to the final of EURO 2024 was celebrated by England, who won 2-1 against the Netherlands in Dortmund and will find themselves in the grand final of the tournament, for the second time in a row, within three years.

Ollie Watkins' buzzer-beater is what sent the "Three Lions" all the way to the final day of the tournament, claiming the first EURO in their entire history in Berlin.

However, as you've probably seen from the qualifying night (10/07), there is a huge debate in England about Virgil van Djik's statement regarding the refereeing and the fact that the match referee went into the dressing room quickly after the final whistle was blown.

The Netherlands and Liverpool captain wanted to point it out, with criticism coming in for the referee's action. But for which phase exactly, is the Netherlands crying out?

Because the "Oranje" complained about the penalty won by England, arguing that earlier there is a handball and consequently, the phase should stop there. It is the moment when Bukayo Saka enters the area, shoots, the ball hits him and the game goes on. That's where the Dutch wanted the referee to blow the whistle for a foul.

That did not happen, Harry Kane got kicked, the referee awarded a penalty with the help of the VAR and England equalised!
