Chelsea's squad makes the 2021 Champions League final such a distant memory...

Winning the Champions League, back in 2021, now seems so far away. Chelsea have changed completely in recent years and this was shown in the squad for Thursday's meeting with Servette in London for the Conference League qualifiers.

Chelsea's squad makes the 2021 Champions League final such a distant memory...

The "blues" may have struggled, Jorgensen needed 6 saves, the opponents may have had a goalpost and more shots on target, but Maresca's team took the qualifying step.

And to do that, the available footballers that Chelsea's Italian coach relied on are all included in a squad of a... new generation.

So much so that the oldest of them did not exceed 2.5 years of being at Chelsea! Of course, there is nobody of the players who conquered Europe, at the Champions League final in 2021!

The longest-tenured player of Maresca's team for Thursday's game, was the substitute goalkeeper, Marcus Bettinelli, who has been at the club since January 2022!
